GUID Globally Unique Identifier - A UUID is used to identify something with near certainty that the identifier does not duplicate one that has already been, or will be, created to identify something else.

Everyone on the word had decided to not use names anymore but GUID's because it was too difficult to tell all of the Dave Smiths apart

ITIL: Information Technology Infrastructure Library - ITIL is a set of detailed practices for IT service management (ITSM) that focuses on aligning IT services with the needs of business. Created by the UK Government it is perhaps the single biggest unification of language in the realm of Information Technology. Loved my most, loathed by some, it remains the most widely accepted standard for the IT industry.

ITSM: Information Technology Service Management - ITSM refers to the entirety of activities – directed by policies, organised and structured in processes and supporting procedures – that are performed by an organisation to plan, design, deliver, operate and control information technology (IT) services offered to customers.

NAT: Network Address Translation - NAT is the method whereby a private IP address that is not addressable on the Internet is translated into one that can.

I could not browse the Internet on my 10.10.10.5 IP address until it was changed into a real one by our Internet router.
