GUID Globally Unique Identifier - A UUID is used to identify something with near certainty that the identifier does not duplicate one that has already been, or will be, created to identify something else.

Everyone on the word had decided to not use names anymore but GUID's because it was too difficult to tell all of the Dave Smiths apart
